Prawns OR Shrimp Pepper Dry (ಸೀಗಡಿ ಪೆಪ್ಪರ್ ಡ್ರೈ)

          It is spicy,hot and totally delicious dish and it is healthy to. Here i give how can prepare this dish completely in simple way . In this  dish the prawns are absorbs the flavors of black pepper, curry leaves and cumin seed. Enjoy this dish with rice or ROTI it just awesome. Method of preparation - In a pan add 2 tsp of oil. - As the oil heats up add 2 tsp of cumin seeds. - Then add chopped green chilies and saute it well. - As the flavor released add 10-12 curry leaves and 2-3 tsp ginger garlic paste. Fry it well. - As it fries add chopped onion. - Fry the onion till its raw smell goes off. - As it fries, add 1 chopped tomato in to it. - Saute it well till the tomato cooks. - Then add 1 tsp turmeric powder, 2 tsp soy sauce, 2-3 tsp pepper powder and mix it well. - Now add cleaned prawns and salt to taste. - At this stage if you feel masala is too dry add 1-2 tsp of water. - After 1 min add 1 tsp of red chilly powder(Optional) as a coloring agent and 1 tsp black pepper powd

Bitter Gourd Masala Tawa Dry (ಹಾಗಲಕಾಯಿ ಮಸಾಲಾ ಡ್ರೈ)

     Bitter Gourd Masala Tawa Dry is an exception for the bitterness of Bitter gourd. Bitter gourd is also called as bitter melon which is very much important diet for those who suffer from diabetics. And it contains some good medicinal properties. This Bitter Gourd Masala Tawa Dry (ಹಾಗಲಕಾಯಿ ಮಸಾಲಾ ಡ್ರೈ) is exempted from use of onion, ginger and garlic, Hence the dish is some what sathwik dish too. To get good benefits of Bitter gourd you should try dish at once. Lets have a try on this this. Preparation of masala: - In a grinder jar add 2 tsp of coriander seeds, 1 tsp fennel seeds, grated Coconut, 5-6 Byadagi Red chilies, 1 tsp turmeric powder and tamarind.  - Grind all these to a smooth paste by adding little water. Turmeric leaf Sweet kadubu/dumplings| ಅರಿಶಿನ ಎಲೆಯ ಸಿಹಿ ಕಡುಬು

     S weet kadubu / dumplings(ಅರಿಶಿನ ಎಲೆಯ ಸಿಹಿ ಕಡುಬು)  is well known in Coastal Karnataka. It is a dumpling in which coconut and jaggery is stuffed and is covered with fragrant turmeric leaf. This flavorful, sweet and healthy dumpling is prepared especially during festivals. It is a very special dish, that should be try at-least once. Here I will be giving recipe of same. Preparation of stuffings- - In a pan add jaggery and little quantity of water. - Cook this in medium flame till jaggery dissolves and becomes frothy. - Next add coconut and cardamom (optional), mix well. - Cook till moisture gets evaporates and mixture comes together. - Switch off the flame, the stuffing is ready now. Preparation of dough- - In a container add salt to taste - Pour the water which is at room temperature - Then add semolina and wheat flour in equal quantity - Mix well and Kneed to form a smooth dough - Mean while if you feel dough is hard add little amount of water - Let it rest for 15 minutes. Raw mango currry(ಮಾವಿನಕಾಯಿ ಸಾರು)

    Hi here i am going to give a recipe of a seasonal special dish prepared in coastal karnataka.  It is seasonal sweet and sour dish can be enjoyed with steamed rice. In coastal Karnataka This konakan style raw mango curry added in the menu during summer menu.           The tangyness / sourness of mango and sweetness of jaggary and coconut makes this dish very special. The other ingredients added to this which helps to increase the immunity as-well-as digestion power of body. Ingredients required:- Raw mango(2 to 3), Byadagi chilly/Red chilly (6-7 Nos.), Grated coconut 1/2, Turmeric powder(1-2 tsp), Coriander seeds (2 Big spoon), Fenugreek seeds(1-2 tsp), Mustard seeds (3-4 tsp), Curry leaves (6-10 Nos.), Asafoetida (Pinch), Jaggary /sugar (As sweetness required). Method of preparation:- - Take grated coconut in mixer/grinder jar and add 1-2 tsp of turmeric powder. - Next add Byadagi chilly(6-7) and Coriander seeds (2 spoonful). - Grind these by adding water.
