H07- Comparison between Hydrostatic & Hydrodynamic Pump

Some of the comparison between positive displacement(Hydrostatic) pump and Non-positive displacement(Hydrodynamic) pumps are as follows. Positive   displacement Pump Non-   Positive   displacement   Pump a. The discharge doesn't vary irrespective of outlet resistance. a. The discharge varies according to resistance at outlet of pump b. Efficiency of this pump is higher in-comparison with non positive displacement pump b. Efficiency of this pump is low in-comparison with positive displacement pump. c. The pump generates high pressure. c. The pressure generation is comparatively low. d. Fluid flow per cycle is mostly maintained d. Fluid flow per cycle varies. e. Negligible gap between rotating and stationary element. e. Gap between rotating and stationary element f. Pump uses change in volume inside the pump to cause fluid flow. f. Pump uses inertia of fluid to cause fluid flow. g. There is no slippage in the output of the pump . g. There will be slippage in the output of the

H06- Positive displacement Pump (Hydrostatic pump)

Hydrostatic/ Positive displacement pump: - In hydrostatic pump the conversion of mechanical energy to hydraulic energy takes place with comparatively small quantity of velocity of liquid. -In positive displacement pump, the pumping volume changes from maximum to minimum during each pumping cycle i.e the pumping element expands from a small volume to a large volume and then is contracted to a small volume as shown in animation below. During this decrease in volume the pressure of fluid increases. - These type of the pumps gives a fixed volume of oil per pumping cycle into the hydraulic system. - These type pumps are capable of overcoming the resistance due to external load as well as resistance to flow friction. - Since a fixed volume of oil is discharged per pumping cycle the displacement characteristics of the pumping chamber and the volume of oil pumped for a given pump size is dependent on the number of pumping cycle made by the pump OR pumping element per unit time. - This type

Cucumber Idli(ಸಾಂಬಾರ್ ಸೌತೆ ಕಡಬು/ಇಡ್ಲಿ)|Kadamb| Mangalore Cucumber(ಮೊಗ್ಗೆಕಾಯಿ) Dumpling

Cucumber Idli (ಸಾಂಬಾರ್ ಸೌತೆ ಕಡಬು/ಇಡ್ಲಿ)  is Coastal-Karnataka / Konkan style traditional recipe which is prepared from Rice and Sambar Cucumber are main ingredients. Cucumber Idli is also known as Kadamb/Cucumber dumpling , Which is prepared by cooking it in steaming the mixture of Rava (crushed rice), Grated Coconut and Finely chopped Cucumber in Banana leaf. The use of Banana leaf along with Turmeric leaf which gives the nice flavor to dumpling's. It can be consumed with Veg and non-veg curries which is just awesome.  Method of Preparation: - Take the banana leaves and clean it. - Next hold it on top of stove for few seconds. This is done to avoid breaking of the leaves while folding. - Take rice clean it in water and dry it. - As rice is dry, Grind it into a coarser powder using grinder. - Now take cleaned Cucumber Peel off and remove seeds from it. And finely chop them in to small pieces/Grate them. - Add salt to taste. - Next add Grated coconut and Rava. - Give a qu
